Everything you need to know about Kinetiv.
Answers to the most common questions about who we are, what we do, how we work, and whether we're the right fit for your organization.
What is Kinetiv?
Kinetiv is an AI consulting and build partner for growing and mid-sized organizations. We help you put AI to work for your people, so your teams do better work with less busywork and keep up as AI keeps changing.
That means a clear plan for where AI does real work, teams that use it in their everyday work, and tools that keep running. Unlike tool vendors or one-off training, we pair the plan with hands-on work alongside your teams, and we stay to keep it working as the tools change.
Who founded Kinetiv?
Kinetiv was founded by Daniel Roundy, a business transformation leader with 25+ years driving performance through process redesign, technology implementation, and human-centered change.
The conviction behind Kinetiv came from the work itself: a client who didn't want another polished roadmap. They wanted help actually solving the problem. That turn, from diagnosis to building a working prototype with the people who do the job, is how Daniel works and how Kinetiv works today. Outside of work, he's a husband, father of five, music lover, sci-fi fan, and grill master (ask him about making grilled pizza!).
Which AI platforms do you work with?
We work on the platforms you already use, including Microsoft 365, ChatGPT and Claude, inside your own accounts. We're not tied to one vendor, so tool choices come from what fits your people, your work and your guardrails.
AI tools change fast. Part of our job is keeping up, so you don't have to chase every release. Kinetiv is a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner.
What services does Kinetiv offer?
Four service lines, combined into an engagement tailored to where you are:
- AI Strategy: a clear, practical plan for where AI does real work in your organization, so your people and your workflows get the benefit, safely and well.
- AI Adoption for Teams: hands-on, role-based practice and coaching so your teams use AI in their real work, and the habits hold as the tools change.
- AI Build & Run: AI tools, agents and automations built with your team, in everyday use within weeks, and kept running as your work and the tools change.
- AI Leadership: a part-time AI leader who shapes the vision, sets direction and priorities, and gets your organization and teams ready to make it real.
Typical ways to start are a plan plus one pilot team, adoption across several teams, automating one workflow, or a part-time AI leader steering any of these. See the four services →
What is the free AI Planning Workshop?
It's how most engagements start. Free, 90 minutes, in person or online, with you and one or two of your team leads. You leave with a tailored AI game plan for your people and your workflows: what to do first, what it takes, and what it's worth.
Any organization, at any stage of its AI journey, and no preparation needed. Afterwards you get a written follow-up with the engagement details and price, then a walkthrough to go through it together. No cost and no obligation: the follow-up is a proposal you can take or leave.
What is the AI Opportunity Assessment?
The AI Opportunity Assessment is a free, self-serve diagnostic that scores where AI would actually make a difference in your organization — and where it wouldn't. Answer a few questions about your functional areas and you'll get a personalized report showing your top opportunities, ranked by benefit, and where you're ready to act versus where the groundwork isn't there yet.
It's not a sales pitch and not a generic maturity score — your report reflects the areas you chose and the answers you gave. Takes a few minutes, no cost, no commitment, and it's yours to keep whether or not we ever talk. You don't need it before the workshop.
What kinds of work can AI take off our plate?
Mostly the repetitive work around the work that matters. Five areas where we see it most:
- Knowledge & Documents: find anything across shared drives, chats and inboxes; draft, summarize, and pull answers from your own content.
- Finance & Back-Office: invoice handling, approvals, expense and procurement workflows without the manual keying.
- HR & Employee Ops: onboarding, recruiting, leave and HR questions handled end to end, so nothing gets dropped.
- Customer & Service: lead capture, case summaries, and support conversations, so nothing slips through the cracks.
- Sales & Revenue: CRM updates, lead qualification, quoting, and follow-up that keep the pipeline clean.
Each page walks through specific examples and what it takes to make them work.
How long does an engagement take?
It depends on the shape. A plan plus one team piloting AI in its real work takes a few weeks. Putting AI to work across several teams takes a few months, in phases. When we build, you'll see a working prototype in days, and it's in everyday use within weeks. AI Leadership runs month to month.
Either way, you'll know the timeline before anything starts.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is tailored, so we don't publish prices. After the free AI Planning Workshop, you get a written follow-up with the engagement details and the price, then a walkthrough to go through it together.
Clear scope and price before we start. You'll know what you're getting and what it costs, no surprises.
We already pay for AI tools, but adoption is low. Where do we start?
You're not alone. It's the most common place organizations get stuck: the tools are switched on, but they haven't changed how work gets done. Most people are already using AI in some way, often self-taught, and comfortable isn't the same as effective.
Start with your people and your real work, not a rollout. Pick the teams and tasks where AI helps most, set simple guardrails, and practice on real tasks with coaching until the new habits stick. Then measure what improves, and expand from there.
The free AI Planning Workshop is built for exactly this. If you'd rather start on your own, try the free AI Opportunity Assessment.
Will AI replace our people?
That's not what we build for. We use AI to take the busywork off people's plates, so they can put their time and attention on the work that matters more, and find more satisfaction in it.
The people who'll use a tool help shape it, and we measure what improves for them.
Is our data safe?
Choosing the right tools and setting guardrails is part of the plan, not an afterthought. We build on the platforms you already use, inside your own accounts, so your data stays under the security and policies you already have.
How do you work?
Plan just enough, then start. Our approach rests on six principles:
- Plan just enough, then start.
- Learn by doing, on real work.
- Done with people, not to them.
- Shared decisions, not IT alone.
- Flexible by design.
- Built for constant change.
When we build for you, we work in a simple loop: progress, prototype, adoption, then on to the next result. See how we work →
Who does Kinetiv work with?
Owners and leaders of growing and mid-sized organizations who know AI matters but can't keep up with it alone. Professional services firms are a common fit, but not the only one.
Most are somewhere on this path:
- Curious about AI, but not sure where to start
- People already using AI on their own, with no plan or guardrails
- A tool switched on, and now asking "now what?"
- Ready to automate a workflow or build an agent
- Needing someone to own AI across the organization
